The body of Mrs. Numa Braud, who died in New Orleans Wednesday, was brought to 
Donaldsonville Thursday forenoon via the Texas and Pacific Railway, and after 
services at the Church of the Ascension was interred in the family tomb in the 
local Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Braud was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Robert 
Higgason, of this city, and Rene Braud, postmaster of Darrow. She formerly 
resided in the latter village, but had made her home in New Orleans for the 
past two years.
