It's awful how this miasmatic climate does cut the denizens of Louisiana off 
in the very flower of their young lives. Mrs. Paul Braud died in Lafourche 
parish two weeks ago at the tender age of 111 years, leaving over 1100 
descendants, comprising five generations.

Mrs. Paul Braud Dead. - As we went to press this morning at 8 o'clock we heard
of the death of Mrs. Paul Braud, aged 110 years, the oldest person in this
parish, grand-mother of Mrs Joseph A. and Louis Braud, of Thibodaux. Funeral
services to-morrow morning between 7 and 8 o'clock at St. Charles Church,
interment in Thibodaux.
