(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, March 01, 1913, Image 5 Death of Edward Comstock. - Relatives and friends in Donaldsonville of Edward Comstock received with deep sorrow the tidings of his death, which occurred at Jackson, La., Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. The remains were brought to this city yesterday via the Mississippi Valley Railroad, the funeral being held upon the arrival of the steamer Virgie from Burnside at 3:45 o'clock p. m., with services and interment in the Catholic church and cemetery. Mr. Comstock was a native of Donaldsonville, aged thirty-eight years, and was a member of one of the most prominent families of this community. His mother, Widow Albert Comstock, and two brothers, Whitney Comstock, of Donaldsonville, and Albert Comstock, of New Orleans, are among the relatives who mourn his loss, and their burden of grief is shared by a wide circle of friends.
