DEATH OF MRS. W. W. DEAN. - Admired Young Woman, Formerly of This City, Dies 
in Minneapolis. - It was with profound sorrow that the friends of the Vega 
family in Donaldsonville - and that means the entire community - learned of 
the death of Mrs. William W. Dean, of Adams, Minn., formerly Miss Lena Vega of 
this city, which occurred at 11:30 o'clock last Sunday forenoon at a hospital 
in Minneapolis. Mrs. Dean had been suffering from a nervous trouble for some 
years, and had submitted to several surgical operations in the hope of 
obtaining relief, but without a cure being effected. There was a recurrence of 
the affliction recently and the young woman was taken to Minneapolis for 
treatment. A letter containing information to this effect received by 
relatives here Sunday morning was closely followed by a telegram conveying the 
sad news of Mrs. Dean's death.

Deceased was a daughter of the late Col. A. D. Vega, and was a young woman of 
charming personality and cultured manners. She was educated at the Convent of 
the Visitation at Mobile, Ala., and seventeen years ago was married in this 
city to William W. Dean, a prominent banker of Adams, in which town she had 
since resided. Four children were born of the union - Marcelle, Dorothy, 
William, Jr., and Douglas - and these, with the grief-stricken husband, are 
left to mourn her loss.

The remains of the lamented young wife and mother were interred at Adams 
Tuesday morning.
