Mrs. Jules Dehon, one of Donaldsonville's oldest and most highly esteemed inhabitants, died at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of her son, Louis Dehon, aged eighty-seven years. The funeral took place from the Dehon residence in Houmas street at 4 p. m. Tuesday, with services at the Church of the Ascension and interment in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Dehon was a native of Switzerland, but had resided in this country for the greater part of her life. She leaves to mourn her loss three sons, A. J. Bornot and Jules Dehon of Philadelphia, Pa., and Louis Dehon of Donaldsonville; one daughter, Mrs. J. M. Carville of Island, Iberville par- parish (sic); thirty grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The profound sympathy of the entire community is tendered the bereaved family in their sad affliction.
