DeLaune, of Prairieville, section foreman of the Frisco Railroad, collision between a railroad motor on collision between a railroad motor [sic] car on which he was riding and a Frisco freight train near Erwinville, West Baton Rouge parish, the night of Aug. 5 last, died from the effects of his injuries Sunday, Aug. 13. He was 37 years of age, and is survived by his wife and three small children, Gladys May, Gerald and St. Clair DeLaune. The funeral was conducted Monday under Masonic auspices, interment being made in the Prairievill cemetery in this parish. Rev. Cudd, Methodist minister of Baton Rouge, performed the religious rites. Mr. DeLaune was a son of Mr. and Mrs. E.P. DeLaune, of Prairievill, and with his wife and children was present at the family reunion which marked the celebration of his parents' forty-third wedding anniversary, on July 2. Brothers and sisters bereaved by his untimely demise the Deputy Sheriff J.N. DeLaune and Cleveland DeLaune of Prairieville; Mrs. A.S. Harris, Denham Springs; Mrs. K.S. Sale and Mrs. C.O. Bozeman, Baton Rouge.
