Edward Duffel, a highly respected colored citizen, died at his residence in 
Opelousas street last Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Deceased was a barber by 
occupation and was a member of Claiborne Williams' orchestra. He is survived by 
his wife and two children and a mother and three sisters. The funeral took place 
yesterday forenoon at 10 o'clock, with services and interment at the Catholic 
church and cemetery.
