Dalferes. - After a lingering illness, Pierre E. Dalferes, a native of Assumption parish, but a resident of this city for many years, passed away at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his brother, Police Officer Ernest Dalferes, aged forty-three years and eight months. Mr. Dalferes was well-known here and throughout the Bayou Lafourche section, and had many friends who will be sincerely grieved to learn of his demise. The funeral took place at 9:30 this forenoon, with services at the local Catholic church and interment in the Plattenville cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife, formerly a Miss Guedry, of Assumption parish, who now resides in New Orleans; four sisters, Mrs. Armand Guedry of Morgan City, Mrs. Henry Dugas and Miss Ernestine Dalferes of Paincourtville, and Mrs. Eugene LeBlanc, of this city; two brothers, Officer Ernest Dalferes of Donaldsonville, and Numa Dalferes of Houma. The Chief tenders its sympathy to the bereaved family.
