John Doherty, a native of Donegal, Ireland, and for many years a resident of 
St. St. John the Baptist, died in that parish at 8 o'clock a. m. Tuesday, aged 
78 years. His funeral took place in New Orleans at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday 
afternoon.
