(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, April 28, 1917, Image 3 Death of Widow Lucas Eris. - Widow Lucas Eris, nee Elonia Landry, was found dead in bed at 7:30 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her son-in-law, F. C. Richard, in poor health for some time, but her condition was not such as to indicate that the end was so near, and the announcement of her sudden demise proved a shock to her family and friends. The funeral took place at 11 o'clock Monday forenoon, with services and interment in the Catholic church and cemetery. Mrs. Eris was a native and life-long resident of Donaldsonville, and had attained the venerable age of 72 years and 5 months. She was a true christian in every sense of the word, a woman of splendid character and admirable standards, and enjoyed the highest esteem, confidence and respect of all who knew her. She is survived by five sons, Messrs. Nick and Joseph Eris, of Donaldsonville, Smith and Sidney Eris, of New Orleans, and Arthur Eris, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and three daughters, Mrs. F. C. Richard and Mrs. Camille Cire, of this city, and Mrs. Casimir LeBlanc, of Lauderdale. To the bereaved family the Chief tenders assurances of sincere sympathy.
