Eugene Falcon, aged twelve years, son of Frank Falcon of Bayou Goula, was killed 
accidentally last Sunday forenoon while out hunting with his father. The boy 
came upon a snake and attempted to kill the reptile, using the butt end of his 
gun as a club, when the weapon was discharged. The entire load of shot entered 
the right hip and ranged upward into the abdomen, causing death within an hour. 
The remains of the unfortunate youth were brought to Donaldsonville on the 2:06 
p. m. T. and P. train Monday and interred in the Catholic cemetery.
