Death of Delphine Feray. - The host of friends of the Feray family 
throughout this section were deeply shocked to learn of the sudden death of 
Delphin Feray, who passed away without warning at his home in New Orleans at 
3:30 o'clock last Sunday afternoon, aged forty-one years. Mr. Feray was a 
native of Assumption parish and resided in the Klotzville neighborhood up to 
two years ago, when he moved to New Orleans and opened a grocery and bar-
room, which business he conducted successfully until January of this year, 
when he sold out and retired. His remains were interred in the 
Paincourtville Catholic cemetery Monday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, after 
services at St. Elizabeth church, the obsequies being attended by a large 
gathering of relatives and friends. Deceased was a member of the Order of 
Owls, and a delegation of members of that fraternity, in full uniform, 
escorted his remains to their resting place. Mr. Feray is survived by his 
wife, nee Miss Josephine Schmalzrid; one daughter, Alice, aged thirteen 
years; three brothers, E. P. Feray, of LaSalle, Illinois, Gideon Feray, of 
Paincourtville, and Felix Feray, of this city; and two half-sisters, Mrs. 
Theo. Landry, of Klotzville, and Mrs. Alphonse Charlet, of Brusly St. 
Martin. The Chief tenders its condolences to the bereaved family.
