Gaudin. - After an illness of long duration, Mrs. Charles A. Gaudin, nee Althalia Landry, died at her husband's home in Opelousas street at 2:15 o'clock p. m. last Saturday, the 18th inst., aged thirty-two days. The funeral took place at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with services at Ascension Church and interment in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Gaudin was a native of Convent, St. James parish, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Landry, and had resided in this city with her husband and family for the past four years. She was a young woman of attractive personality and many accomplishments, and by reason of her lovable disposition and numerous deeds of kindness and charity had made a large number of devoted friends to whom the announcement of her untimely demise has carried real sorrow and lasting regret. Besides her husband, who is one of the courteous salesmen in the store of B. Lemann & Bro., Mrs. Gaudin is survived by eight children, namely: Leo, Marguerite, Maria, Charles, Felicie, Edith, Renee and Louis; her mother, Mrs. N. S. Landry, three brothers and seven sisters, all residents of Convent, and a large number of other relatives and family connections.
