(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, March 11, 1905, page 5 Death of Arthur Gauthreaux. - Arthur Gauthreaux, a native and life-long resident of Ascension parish, died at his home in Crevasse Settlement at 12 o'clock last Saturday night, after an illness of only week with pneumonia. Mr. Gauthreaux was 54 years, 3 months and 12 days of age, and for a number of years had worked as a bricklayer. He was also a first-class sugar-dryer, and during the recent grinding season was employed in that capacity at the Sweet Home factory, in Assumption parish. His remains were interred in the Donaldsonville Catholic cemetery at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning, after services at the Church of the Sacred Heart. Mr. Gauthreaux leaves to mourn his loss a wife and eight children, as follows: Seale, Oscar, Lawrence, Henry, John, Cecile, Augustine and Azalea Gauthreaux. To these and the other members of the afflicted family The Chief begs leave to proffer assurances of sincerest sympathy.
