[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, November 24, 1883, Image 3 SMALL POX. - Our advices up to this morning report five news cases of this disease in town, to wit: Two children of Mrs. Juan Loso, little daughter of Mr. Valentine Goetz, Mrs. Ignace Rodriguez and Edward Smith, the colored drayman. There has been only one death - little Mary Goetz - and this resulted from a complication of croup with the small pox. All the other cases, old and new, are doing well, and there is still no case outside the small district to which the infection has been confined for several weeks past. Died. - GOETZ - In Donaldsonville, La., on Friday, November 23, 1883, at 11 o'clock P. M., Mary Goetz, aged 2 years., 11 months and 23 days, daughter of Valentine Goetz and Mary Walker. - New Orleans papers please copy.
