Died. - GOMEZ - At the residence of her husband, in Ascension parish, La., on 
Wednesday, July 14, 1886, at 6:30 P. M., Azea Verron, wife of F. Gomez, Jr., 
aged 33 years, 1 month and 23 days.

Mrs. Gomez had been ill but a few days. On Monday last she gave birth to a babe 
which died, and the spirit of the mother followed her infant to celestial 
regions only two days later.

Deceased was a most estimable wife and mother, and leaves a husband and nine 
children sorely bereaved by her loss. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon 
and the remains of the lamented lady were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery 
at this place.
