Giovanni Guaglianoni, a native of Calabria, Italy, but a resident of this city 
for upwards of forty years, died at his home at the corner of Chetimaches and 
Charles streets at 3:30 o'clock p.m. last Tuesday, after an illness of several 
months, aged sixty-nine years, two months and twenty-three days. The funeral 
took place at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, and was conducted by the Societa 
Italiana de M.B. Conte di Torino, of which organization deceased was formerly a 
member. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery after services at the 
church. Deceased was a peddler of fruit, vegetables and crabs, and was widely 
known in this community by the sobriquet of "Juan".
