Van Gaudin Passes Away. - Van Gaudin, aged 50 years, died at his home in Baton 
Rouge yesterday morning, after a brief illness with pneumonia. His remains 
were brought to Donaldsonville this morning and interred in the Catholic 
cemetery, after services at the Catholic church. Deceased was a man of 
peaceful and retired disposition and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. 
He is survived by his wife and three children. He was a brother of Leon 
Gaudin, well-known citizen of Darrow. Peace to his ashes!
