Gleason, the young man who was fatally shot at White Castle Tuesday night by Louis Hebert, and who died at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans at five o'clock Thursday, were interred in the Protestant Cemetery in Donaldsonville Friday morning, having been brought here from White Castle on the early train. Hebert was safely lodged in jail in Plaquemine. There was much talk of a lynching bee, but the older heads of the White Castle community set their faces against it and their counsel prevailed.
