GONZALES - On New River, parish of Ascension, on Wednesday, October 19, 
1881, MARY KLING, wife of J. A. Gonzales, a native of this parish, aged 35 
years.

Mrs. Gonzales leaves a husband, eight children and a large circle of other 
relatives and friends to mourn her loss. She was a lady of estimable 
character and disposition, who won the good opinion of all who made her 
acquaintance. We take occasion to extend to the bereaved husband the 
assurance of our sincere sympathy and regret for the great affliction he has 
been called upon to sustain.
