(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, October 19, 1918, page 3 Death of Mrs. Ernest Hotard. - Mrs. Ernest Hotard died at her residence on Mrs. Emile St. Martin's Pelico plantation, in the first ward, last Thursday morning at 3 o'clock, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Ernest Hotard, a well- known young sugar planter. Deceased was a good and pious woman, a devout Catholic, highly beloved by all who knew her, and her demise is greatly mourned by a large circle of relatives and friends. She was twice married. Her first husband being the late Arnold Horn, from which union she leaves two daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. John Horn of Lutcher, Miss Noemie Horn, and Arnold and John Horn, the latter being in the army. From her second marriage she is survived by two daughters, Lillian and Mabel. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Services were conducted at the St. Francis of Assissium church in Smoke Bend and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery in Donaldsonville.
