(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, March 17, 1917, page 3 Death of Mrs. David Ker. - A well-spent and useful life was brought to an untimely termination at 9:15 o'clock last Wednesday evening, when Mrs. David Ker passed away at her home in Port Barrow. She had been in bad health for a long time and her death was not unexpected, but despite this fact the sad announcement proved a shock to her many friends and created widespread sorrow and regret. The funeral took place at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with services and interment in the Donaldsonville Catholic church and cemetery. Mrs. Ker, who before her marriage was Miss Euphemie Ayraud, was a member of a well- known and highly esteemed family of this section, and possessed qualities of heart and mind which endeared her to those whose privilege it was to know her best and gained for her the respect of everyone with whom she came in contact. She was a native and life-long resident of this community, aged 28 years, 6 months and 13 days, and besides her heart-broken husband is survived by two young children, Susie and David, Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Edna Williams, of New Orleans, and two brothers, John and Israel Ayraud. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
