She attended LSU and along with her husband was the former owner of Landry's Pharmacy in Gonzales. Survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" and Edward Swindell, Elizabeth "Beth" Landry and Bill Sailers, Belinda and Joe Veillon and Bridget Simoneaux; four sons and three daughters- in-law, James "Buzzy" and Martha Landry, Joseph "Benny" Landry, William "Bill" and Amy Landry and Robert "Bob" and Dena Landry; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, on Thursday, July 24, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Gary Belsome, celebrant. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Benton Landry Jr.; her parents, Milton James Ambeau Sr. and Mable White Ambeau; three brothers, Milton James Ambeau Jr., Hugh Louis Ambeau Sr. and John Keith Ambeau Sr.; and a granddaughter, Lisette Corinne Veillon. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, the Ladies Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary of Gautreau/Williams American Legion Post 81.
