The remains of George Landry, aged fifty-five years, who died in Whitecastle 
Tuesday, were brought to Donaldsonville via the Texas and Pacific Railroad 
Wednesday morning and interred in the Catholic cemetery. The deceased is survived 
by two sisters, Mrs. Octave Mire, of Whitecastle, and Mrs. O.M. Poirrier, of St. 
James, and four brothers, Edgar and Philip J. Landry, of Donaldsonville, and 
Dennis Landry, of upper Ascension. To the bereaved family sincere sympathy is 
extended by many friends in this community and elsewhere.
