(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, October 02, 1920, Image 2 Death of Henry Lear. - Henry Lear, a former resident of Donaldsonville, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. W. B. Brinkmann, in New Orleans, last Tuesday night at 10:15 o'clock. The body was brought to this city Thursday morning via the Texas and Pacific railroad, and laid to rest in the family tomb in the Protestant cemetery. Rev. W. H. Giles conducted the funeral services at the grave. Those accompanying the remains to Donaldsonville were: Ro [ink smudge] and Mrs. Clarence [ink smudge] little daughter, Doris, of Hammond; Mrs. W. B. Brinkman of New Orleans; Mrs. Thomas Krebs of Pascagoula, Miss., and Edgar Lear, a nephew, of New Orleans. Deceased was 63 years of age and had been an invalid for years. He removed from this place twelve years ago, going to Pascagoula, Miss., where he resided until four years ago, when he moved to New Orleans for medical treatment, taking up his residence with his daughter. He is survived by three daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. Clarence Cary of Hammond; Mrs. Thomas Krebs of Pascagoula, and Mrs. W. B. Brinkmann of New Orleans; Duke Lear of Pascagoula, and Cecil Lear of Mobile, Ala. To them the Chief tenders sincere sympathy in their great bereavement.
