[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, April 06, 1907, Image 2 Felix LeBlanc. - Felix LeBlanc, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of this community, died at 9:50 a. m. Monday at his home in Levee street, aged seventy-seven years, eight months and eighteen days. Mr. LeBlanc had been seriously ill for some time and his demise was therefore not entirely unexpected, but it nevertheless proved a distinct shock to his family and host of friends and will carry lasting sorrow and profound regret into many households. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with services at the Church of the Sacred Heart and interment in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. LeBlanc is survived by his devoted wife, formerly Miss Nezida Dugas; one daughter, Miss Alice LeBlanc, and a sister, known to the world as Sister Frances, and presently residing at Baton Rouge. Deceased was engaged in the steamboat business for an extended period, and occupied the position of wharfmaster (sic) at this place for a long number of years.
