LANDRY - At her residence in the parish of Ascension, La., Monday, January 
28, 1884, at 11 o'clock P. M., Mrs. ADLARD LANDRY, aged 64 years and 3 
months.

To our venerable friend and universally esteemed fellow-citizen, Mr. Adlard 
Landry, and to his noble sons and daughters, we offer a heartfelt expression 
of sympathy in their bereavement - the loss of a wife and mother whose 
manifold virtues endeared her to all who were favored with her acquaintance. 
The very large procession which followed the remains of the beloved dead to 
their last resting place Tuesday evening is an evidence of the high esteem 
in which Mrs. Landry was held in the community where she spent her long and 
useful life. The funeral services were conducted at Smoke Bend Chapel and 
the interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery at Donaldsonville.
