[Special to the Picayune.] Donaldsonville, La.; Oct. 8. - The funeral of Louis A. Maurin was held this morning at 11:30 o'clock. At the hour of the funeral all the business houses closed to allow the clerks to attend. It was largely attended by friends from here and the surrounding parishes. The services at the Catholic Church were conducted by Rev. Father Dotchmendy. The pallbearers were the deceased's four brothers, Victor, Charles A., Edmund and Joseph, and J. Numa Colomb and Leon Boudreaux, his nephew. The interment was made in the Maurin family tomb in the Catholic Cemetery.
