[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, December 22, 1917, Image 2 Body of Submarine Electrician Buried Here. - The body of Harry L. McCrary, who was killed in a street car accident at San Pedro, Cal., Dec. 9, was brought to Donaldsonville last Saturday and interred in the Protestant cemetery. Rev. W. F. Henderson, Jr., pastor of the local Methodist church, conducted services at the grave. Deceased was an electrician on the United States submarine F-2, and was 26 years of age, having been born in St. Mary parish Dec. 1, 1891. He joined the navy in April, 1910, prior to which time he was in the employ of the Interstate Electric Company of New Orleans. He is survived by a brother, J. W. McCrary, of 1220 Dublin street, New Orleans, and two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Smith, of Marlin, Texas, and Miss May McCrary, of Meridian, Miss. Mr. McCrary and Mrs. Smith accompanied the remains to Donaldsonville. the former resided at St. Patrick some years ago, and the bodies of his wife and child and father are interred in the Protestant cemetery here.
