Mr. Marcelin Melancon, an old resident of Donaldsonville, a barber by occupation, 
died last Tuesday morning at the age of 60 years. He leaves a wife and nine 
children to mourn his loss. The funeral took place Wednesday morning at 10 
o'clock and was attended by many friends of the deceased and his family. Mr. 
Melancon's remains were buried in the Catholic cemetery.
