Albert Melancon, son of former justice of the peace Leo P. Melancon of the 
fifth ward this parish, died at the family home at Reserve, in St. John 
parish, after a few days' illness, last Wednesday. The remains were brought to 
Donaldsonville Thursday afternoon and laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery 
after services had been held at the Catholic church. Deceased was 20 years of 
age and formerly resided with his parents in this parish. Besides his father, 
he is survived by two brothers and two sisters, his mother, Mrs. Leo Melancon, 
having passed away about six weeks ago.
