Death of Miss Lise Mollere. - A most deplorable event occurred here last Monday 
morning, at 12:30 o'clock, when Miss Lise Mollere, a highly respected lady of 
this place, died suddenly, immediately on reaching home from the Catholic church 
fair, which she had attended and seemed to be in the enjoyment of good health. 
She was accompanied by her nieces, Misses Nora and Emma Mollere, and, as soon as 
she reached the steps of their home she complained of feeling badly, and was 
assisted by them into the house and placed in a chair, when, with a gasp, she 
breathed her last. Deceased was a most estimable lady in every way; was a sister 
of the late Camille Mollere, who served for many years as Chief of Police of 
this city, as well as a sister of the late Mrs. J. J. Lafargue, of this place, 
and Mrs. Xavier Gauthreaux, of Whitecastle. She was the aunt of Mr. Clem 
Mollere, city clerk-elect, and was living with him and his sisters at their home 
in Iberviller street. Her death was caused by heart-failure and the suddenness 
of her taking off proved a great shock to the community. The funeral took place 
Monday afternoon, at 4:30 o'clock, and was largely attended by friends and 
relatives. We extend heartfelt sympathy to those who mourn her loss, and trust 
her pure soul has found a blissful resting place in the beautiful world beyond 
the grave.
