[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, December 01, 1883, Image 2 Mr. Adolph Monson, who was, we understand, a native and life-long resident of this place, died last Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock, and was buried at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Mr. Monson was 47 years of age, a carpenter by trade and a steady, industrious, kind hearted man who enjoyed general respect and esteem. Some time ago, while engaged in building a house in Donaldsonville, he sustained serious internal injury from a fall, and this was thought to have brought on the illness which caused his death. He leaves a wife and several children to lament his loss.
