(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, April 18, 1885, page 2 Angelina Morgan - Woman Drowned - By virtue of an authorization from Coroner Duffel, Justice G. M. Garig of the tenth ward held an inquest Friday before last on the body of Angelina Morgan, a colored woman found drowned near her home in that ward the 9th inst. The woman was a weak minded creature, subject to fits, and from all appearances she had been attacked by one of her spells while crawfishing in a little creek, and falling forward into the water, which was only a few inches deep, she soon suffocated. After due inquiry and investigation, Justice Garig became satisfied that no blame attached to any one by reason of the death, and a formal certificate was executed and filed accordingly.
