Morvant Dies. - News of the death of Mrs. Edgar E. Morvant of Thibodaux, was received in this city last Monday with much sorrow by her many friends living here. Mrs. Morvant was 60 years of age at the time of her death and had suffered a long illness before sucumbing (sic). She was loved by all who knew her and was held in the highest esteem by all. She was a noble woman and a kind and affectionate wife. She is survived by her husband, Edgar Morvant, and the following sisiters (sic) and brothers: Sister Mary Aloysia of the Immaculate Conception, Lockport, La.; Mrs. Felix Delate, and Mrs. A. E. Hoffman of Thibodaux; Mrs. A. V. Pintado, Mrs. L. L. Daigle, Mrs. N. J. McNeil and Mrs. John L. Truxillo of New Orleans; Ambroise and Eugene Folse of Lauderdale, La.; Henry Folse of Bayou Goula and George Folse of Donaldsonville, the latter being the local manager of the Standard Oil Co., in this city. The funeral was held in Thibodaux on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Rev. Father A. M. Barbier officiating. the internment was in the Catholic cemetery at that place.
