Mrs. Victor Maurin, widow of Captain Vic Maurin of Donaldsonville, died at 
her home last week at the age of 76 years. She is survived by two daughters: 
Mrs. A. J. Sanford of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Charles E. Coates of Baton 
Rovge (sic).

MEMBER OF PROMINENT FAMILIES FOUND DEAD. - DONALDSONVILLE, La., July 20. - 
Funeral services were conducted here Wednesday for Mrs. Victor Maurin, a 
member of prominent Louisiana and Texas families, who was found dead of 
heart disease at her home here.

She was the widow of the late Victor Maurin, who for 16 years was a member 
of the LaFourche Basin Lee Board and a conductor of numerous business 
enterprises. The family for many years controlled a number of plantations in 
this section.
