(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871 - current, February 18, 1905, Image 4 Death of Mrs. Arthur Michel. - Mrs. Arthur Michel, nee Elouise Landry, wife of the overseer on Belle Terre plantation, died at 4:30 o'clock p. m. Thursday, aged 44 years, 7 months and 3 days. Mrs. Michel was just recovering from an attack of grippe and had the misfortune to suffer a relapse, which set in Sunday. Pneumonia developed at once, and despite the best efforts of medical science and the most devoted nursing, she grew rapidly worse and passed away Thursday afternoon. The funeral took place at 4:30 o'clock p. m. yesterday, with services and interment in the Donaldsonville Catholic church and cemetery. Mrs. Michel was a daughter of Joseph Landry, the well-known local contracting carpenter, and a sister of Mrs. S. H. St. Martin, Misses Julia, Lizzie, Bella and Laura Landry, and John and Charles Landry. She leaves her husband, three daughters, Misses Irene, Marie and Adele Michel, and one son, Arthur Michel, Jr. To the bereaved family The Chief tenders assurance of heart-felt sympathy.
