Ourso, one of Ascension's oldest citizens, died at 3:45 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Achille Loumiet, in Port Barrow, aged 75 years, 5 months and 23 days. He was born in the Smoke Bend neighborhood and resided in the parish throughout his long life, acquitting himself at all times as a citizen of progressive characteristics and exemplary conduct, and earning the unqualified esteem and respect of his friends, neighbors and acquaintances. The funeral took place Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock, with services and interment in the Donaldsonville Catholic church and cemetery. Deceased is survived bu his venerable wife, four sons, Messrs. C. A. Ourso of Port Barrow, John Ourso of Plaquemine, Joseph Ourso of Taft, and D. R. Ourso of Sorrento, and three daughters, Mrs. Achille Loumiet and Mrs. C. E. Landry, of Port Barrow, and Mrs. J. N. Blanchard of Plaquemine. The Chief joins in the expressions of sorrow and sympathy occasioned by the passing away of this revered patriarch.
