Death of Miss Marie Ourso. - Miss Marie Ourso, daughter of Mrs. and the late 
Antoine Ourso, died at the family home in Brusly Sacremento at 7 o'clock last 
Sunday morning, aged 45 years. She had been seriously ill for several months, 
the victim of an incurable malady, and her death was therefore not unexpected, 
although the sad announcement proved none the less a shock to her family and 
wide circle of friends. The funeral took place Monday morning, with services at 
the St. Francis of Assisium church in Smoke Bend and interment in the 
Donaldsonville Catholic cemetery. Miss Ourso was a member of one of the best 
known and most highly respected families of the Brusly Sacremento neighborhood, 
and was universally esteemed for her many good qualities. Besides her venerable 
mother, she leaves to mourn her loss three brothers, Messrs. Frank, Joseph and 
Bill Ourso, all of Brusly Sacremento, and one sister, Mrs. Anatole Babin, of St. 
James. The Chief joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
