Mrs. Icy Palmer died at the residence of her niece, Mrs. George W. Lear, at 3 
o'clock Thursday afternoon, aged 84 years and 7 months. Her remains were laid to 
rest in the Methodist cemetery at 3:30 o'clock p.m. yesterday, after services at 
the Methodist church. Mrs. Palmer had been a resident of Donaldsonville for 26 
years, and was known and esteemed by a large circle of friends.
