Miss Irene Rodriguez Passes Away.

Miss Irene Rodriguez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Rodriguez of Brusly McCall, 
died last Saturday at 11 o'clock a.m., at Touro Infirmary, New Orleans, where 
she had been under treatment for about two weeks. The remains were brought to 
Donaldsonville on the 10 a.m. T. and P. train, last Sunday, and after services 
at the Catholic church were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. Deceased was 
24 years of age at the time of her death. She was possessed of an amiable 
disposition which greatly endeared her to her relatives and many friends, all of 
whom are deeply grieved over her untimely demise.

Besides her parents, she is survived by five brothers and two sisters, namely: 
Narcisse, Frank, Tony, Lawrence, Allen and Mrs. Ricard Dugas of Lutcher, and 
Miss Alvine. Her father and three of her brothers, who are sugar boilers by 
occupation, are in San Domingo taking off a crop on a big sugar plantation on 
the island. The Chief proffers its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
