John B. Rodrigue, Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Rodrigue, of New 
Orleans, died at his parent's home at No. 1214 Louisa street in that city at 2 
o'clock p. m. Tuesday, aged seven months and one day. The remains were brought 
to Donaldsonville on the noon T. and P. train Wednesday and were laid to rest in 
the local Catholic cemetery after services at Ascension church. Mr. Rodrigue's 
wife, whose health has been failing for the past several months, is critically 
ill at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans, and very little hope for her 
recovery is entertained. Mr. Rodrigue is a former Donaldsonville boy and has 
many friends in this community who will be deeply pained to learn of the 
bereavement which has been visited upon him, and will join The Chief in 
extending him sincere sympathy in his misfortune. He came up Wednesday to attend 
the funeral of his little son, and was accompanied by two of his children, Louis 
and Eleanora.
