John Ramirez, Sr., the venerable father of Policeman John Ramirez of 
Donaldsonville, died at his home in Crevasse Settlement on Thursday lat at 9 
o'clock a. m., aged ninety-seven years, six months and nineteen days. The 
funeral took place at 9 o'clock Friday forenoon, with services and interment 
in the local Catholic church and cemetery. Mr. Ramirez was a native and life-
long resident of this parish, and enjoyed the highest respect and esteem of 
all with whom he came in contact.
