[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, December 10, 1881, Image 3 Died. - REBERT. - At Donaldsonville, La., Thursday morning, December 8, 1881, JOSE REBERT, a native of Barcelona, Spain, aged 45 years, 8 months and 10 days. Mr. Rebert came to Donaldsonville seveeal (sic) years ago, from New Iberia, and established himself here in the cigar and tobacco business on Mississippi street, corner of St. Patrick. Latterly he kept a confectionery on Railroad Avenue, adjoining the residence of Mr. Louis Dalams. He was a quiet, industrious and an excellent citizen, whose loss is regretted not only by all who knew him. We believe the disease which ended his life was that invidious and fatal malady, consumption. The funeral took place yesterday morning, the remains being interred in the Catholic cemetery, with appropriate and impressive ceremonies.
