Miss Louise Richard, the 8 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Richard of 
Elise plantation, in upper Ascension, died at 8 o'clock Wednesday night at 
the residence of her grandmother, Mrs. Laurent Boudreaux, in Chetimaches 
street, where she was visiting. The little girl was taken ill at church 
Sunday morning, and while her ailment at first did not appear to be serious, 
her condition grew stadily (sic) worse and death ensued with comparative 
suddenness Wednesday night. The funeral took place at 5 o'clock Thursday 
afternoon, with services and interment in the local Catholic church and 
cemetery.
