(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, November 7, 1914, page 3 Raji Samaha, a native of Jouar, Liban, Syria, and a resident of this city off and on for the past eight years, died at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday forenoon at his home in Chetimaches street, after an illness of several months duration, aged forty-nine years. Deceasesd was one of the most prominent and influential members of the local Syrian colony, and was an industrious, upright and law- abiding citizens, whose untimely demise is deeply deplored. The funeral took place at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with services and interment in the Catholic church and cemetery. Mr. Samaha is survived by his wife and five children, three boys and two girls, to whom sympathy is extended by friends and neighbors.
