Singer, city editor of the Daily Advertiser at Lafayette, La., and formerly of Monroe, died suddenly in that city Tuesday noon. Miss Singer was for some years society editor of the News-Star in Monroe, leaving here about 18 years ago to go to a similar position in south Louisiana. She had been city editor of the Lafayette newspaper for 12 years and was well known throughout the state. Information received here failed to state the time and place of the holding of the funeral. She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Singer, Donaldsonville, and a sister, Mrs. Newman Walker, Pensacola, FL.
