Creamer marykcreamer.00@gmail.com April 16, 2022, 7:46 pm source: State Times Advocate, November 28, 1931, page 7 Following an illness extending over several months, Mrs. Thomas Stucky, 75 years of age, died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, at Walker. Formerly Miss Mary Alice Ackridge. Mrs. Stucky was born in Mississippi, November 26, 1856, and was buried on her seventy-fifth birthday anniversary, three months following the death of her husband. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. F. Arceneaux, and the body was laid to rest in the Prairieville cemetery Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Stucky is survived by one sister, Mrs. M.D. Broussard of Hobart, two sons, Clifford S. Stucky of Garyville, T.P. Stucky of Opelousas, three daughters, Mrs. J.V. Hebert of Tickfaw, Mrs. J.W. Tanner of Ethel, Mrs. M.E. Littles of Walker, 19 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
