Peter Schwab, a highly esteemed old man, died last Wednesday at the residence 
of his son-in-law, Tony Pfister, in Lafourche parish, at the advanced age of 
ninety-three years. His body was brought to Donaldsonville Thursday afternoon 
on the gasoline boat Prosperity, owned by Mr. Pfister, and was laid to rest in 
the Catholic cemetery, after services at Ascension Church. Mr. Schwab some 
twenty years ago owned and cultivated a small farm on the west bank of Bayou 
Lafourche about six miles below Donaldsonville, and was well and favorably 
known in this city. He is survived by five grown daughters.
