Creamer marykcreamer.00@gmail.com March 23, 2020, 11:25 pm source: Le Meschacebe [volume] ([Lucy] La.) 1853-1942, November 18, 1899, Image 3 At A Good Age. - Rebecca Johnson-Nichols Sharp, relict of the late Andrew Jackson Sharp, aged 80 years, 7 months and 12 days, a native of St. Clair county, Ill., and a resident of the vicinity of Donaldsonville 57 years, died after a brief illness, life's candle having flitted in its natural course. Andrew Jackson Sharp, the husband, died some years ago, and in his time was one of the largest planters in Ascension and Assumption parishes. The couple came to Louisiana in their younger days, prospered and founded a family whose progeny is numerous and prominent in all walks of life.
